Ok, first post...
My face feels hot and a little wind-swept, I need a good shower, shave, and shampoo, and there is a funny smell coming from my boots. Reason being, that I'm just back from camping with Mrs Grasshopper in Snowdonia, along with my adopted evil-twin, his lovely wife, child and mental labrador.
While sitting in a field at the foot of Snowdon in my "technical clothing" the other night, beer in one hand and petting a slobbering labrador with the other, I decided on what to call my blog, and that I would set it up when I got home. And so I have.
If anyone reads this, its probably because I told them to, but just in case you don't know me, or you forgot, I'll fill you in;
Mrs Grasshopper and I have sold our house, got a bit of cash, and decided we would hold off on the kids/sensible car/bigger house, and go "walk the earth" for a bit.
We're doing some charity work in Africa, then north and south India, then I'm spending some time training in SE Asia before we finish with visiting my family in Oz. Should take about 6-7 months, then we're back to the UK to pick up our careers again, and get a nice house sorted ready for babies....
Some people want to hear how we get on, and I thought this blog would be a quick way of updating what we have been up to, without having to remembers loads of email addresses, (or sending people updates who actually didn't really like me, so I still piss them off, even when I'm on the other side of the world).
So I got the blog set up. Just got to do the 1001 other things before we're ready to leave....
